In the mid-1990s, Eddie Mullally saw potential where others saw decay. At 13 South Safford Avenue in Tarpon Springs, a long-abandoned 4,000-square-foot building stood neglected. With determination and the help of friends, Mullally spent two years restoring the structure, preserving original features like wooden floors and ceiling rafters. In 1996, this labor of love culminated in the opening of Neptune Cyclery and the adjacent Neptune Lounge, breathing new life into the downtown area.

Since its inception, Neptune Cyclery has become a cornerstone of the Tarpon Springs community. Strategically located along the scenic Pinellas Trail, the shop offers a comprehensive range of bicycles, including electric and traditional models, along with expert repair services and daily rentals. Mullally’s commitment to quality and community engagement has solidified Neptune Cyclery’s reputation as more than just a bike shop—it’s a gathering place for cycling enthusiasts and a testament to the transformative power of vision and perseverance.

Donation to Hit-and-Run Victim Kenny Gamble

After a hit-and-run incident left cyclist Kenny Gamble injured and without transportation, Eddie Mullally donated a new bicycle to him through the Florida Highway Patrol. Gamble expressed deep gratitude for the gesture.

A 1997 article highlighted the transformation of a dilapidated building into Neptune Cyclery and Lounge, contributing to the revitalization of downtown Tarpon Springs.
